5 ripe banana's
- mix well until banana's are all smashed then add
1 c. Crisco or shortening
2 c. sugar
2 t. baking soda
1 t. salt
4 c. flour
1-2 c. chocolate chips or walnuts (optional)
Pour into 2 greased bread pans.
Bake at 250 for 1 1/2 to 2 hours or until a knife comes out clean when inserted into the center.
Serve warm with butter, or with cream cheese. Also freezes well!
*yield= 2 loaves
I took care of a bunch of bananas and made 3 batches today! Love pulling one of these out of the freezer for a quick and easy breakfast! :)
