2 boxes- devils food cake mix
1 c. applesauce (I always substitute applesauce for oil, it's healthier and makes them softer too!)
once the batter is smooth, spoon out even sized cookies on a greased cookie sheet. I use an ice cream scoop to keep them all as close to the same size as possible.
Bake at 350 for 15 mins. You want them to be set up- but don't overcook them or they'll be hard cookies!
Let cool, then frost 2 cookies together.
Cream Cheese Frosting:
1 cube butter
8 oz cream cheese
1/2 bag of powdered sugar
1/4 c. milk
1 t. vanilla
beat together until smooth.
*Since these are a sandwich cookie make sure you make an even amount of cookies! Also, it will only make half as much as you think it will because each cookie uses 2*
