Homemade Lip Gloss

All little girls (and big girls too) need lip gloss!  This is how you can make your own, it's super cheap, easy, and a great activity to do together.  We've made these at sleepovers, birthday parties, and just for fun.  You can make all sorts of flavors and there's a few different bases you can use too.
This one we made root beer flavored-
Since it was root beer flavored we started with a butter flavored Crisco base.
(you can also do plain Crisco or even Vaseline as a base)
Spoon a couple of spoon fulls into a bowl (depending on the size of the container you plan to pour it into)
Put it into the microwave for 30-60 seconds watching for it to melt completely.
Once it's melted add your flavoring.
I used about 1/2 t. of root beer extract.  You can use any extract used for baking, or another option is to use a packet of koolaid.  Koolaid will also add bright colors.  If you want a color with the extracts you'll have to add a couple of drops of food coloring.

Mix it up well with the flavoring & coloring.  Then pour it into your container.  We use Tupperware smidgets- they are the perfect size and come with a lid.

Place the container into the fridge or freezer long enough for it to set up.  And you're done! Easy Easy!
