Veteran's Day

Today is Veteran's day and I would just like to take the opportunity to thank all of those who have and are currently serving in the military protecting our country and freedoms.  Included in this is my sweet husband Scott who served in the Marines and National Guard, my dad who was a MP for the army, my cousin Todd who still serves with the Air Force and has for over 20 years, my past students who have served and are serving in the Army and Air force, and our many other friends and family members that have and currently serve.
Today is a day to be thankful for this service and willingness to sacrifice their lives, time from family and friends to protect the rights of our country and to defend those in need.

In most cases soldiers live in less than ideal situations while serving, they have gaps in time where they are unable to communicate with family and friends back home, sometimes they live off of MRE's which are a far cry from "fast food" others can enjoy, and they function with less luxuries and are expected to accomplish more than the rest of us on a daily basis.

Thank you! Your service is appreciated.
