The many benefits of Coconut Oil

Since you were little, you were probably told (like me) oil is bad for you. "it'll make you fat" "it's unhealthy" "it'll clog your arteries" and so on.  But what we're learning more and more is that some types of oil are healthy and actually beneficial to you! There are many benefits of Coconut Oil for example, including helping with alzheimer's and parkinson's.  Here's some information and uses for coconut oil-
The more I researched about the benefits of coconut oil the more I want to go out and buy a few cases of it!  We've used it for years in our popcorn because it makes it taste heavenly and it doesn't get a stale taste after a day (not that our popcorn ever lasts more than a day).

I had also heard about using it to dilute oils, but other than that my opinions and knowledge on coconut oil were pretty non-existent.

The benefits of coconut oil are a long list including: hair, skin care, stress relief, weight loss, good cholesterol, immune system, digestive health, heart and blood pressure issues, kidneys, diabetes, bones- including teeth, metabolism, and even cancer!  It's also a natural antifungal, antibacterial, AND antiviral.  So lets see, that covers everything from yeast infections to a cold or flu virus.  Are you starting to see how useful it is?

If you're interested in some scientific explanations I recommend this site Organic Facts.

Degenerative Diseases:
This is especially exciting for me because my mom has experienced Parkinson's for the last 13 years.  I called her right after watching the video below.
According to the website-
"Coconut Oil is also know to help in Parkinson's - Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (Lou Gehrig's disease) - Epilepsy - Dementia - Schizophrenia and even Autism! The studies are growing and the more we look into the properties of food the more we find that we can actually find natural cures instead of medicine!"

Such an inspiring video! And did you catch the part about Oxford having a high dose ketone serum they need funding to make but no one will fund because "there's no money to be made".  Yep, no one is interested in curing because then they'd be out of business.  So medicines are to just alleviate symptoms. (but usually create more side effects)

I found this awesome chart at Super Herbal Foods.  Their website has a lot of great resources on it- you should check it out!

And let's not forget- it's COCONUT OIL..... it tastes amazing!
