Avatar: lame. ok, the graphics were cool, and the idea was neat. But there were soooooooo many hidden messages I didn't like that. It was too obvious they were trying to persuade your opinions of events. One thing my husband pointed out was that it sent the message that you have to be a certain way to be accepted- and you should change yourself to fit in. (when he gives up his human body that was broken to become one of them)
Toy Story 3- now that was a good show! the kids loved it, and even Scott and I were laughing pretty hard during some of the parts. Often when you have multiple of the same movie the later ones aren't as good- but in the case of the Toy Story's they've all been great.
Ice Age 3- meh, it was just ok.... cute, had it's funny parts, but it is a perfect example of how sequels usually aren't as good as the first ones.
My husband and I were discussing the other night how 3D movies seem to be so big right now- but we haven't noticed that big of a deal with them..... I conclude it's just another way of getting people to pay the extra $1.50 charge for the glasses/3D movie.
What do you think? Maybe my expectations are just too high... I just don't really value or see any difference in 3D vs regular.
It was really cool the first few times a 3D movie came out, but now that they ALL seem to be 3D movies lately... it makes it kind of lame.
ReplyDeleteAnd it may only be a $1.50 more/movie in Cedar, but here in NY it's $4.00 to $6.00 more per ticket (depending on what theatre you go too) and that DEFINITELY makes it not worth it!
And some movies I wonder why they even make them 3D. For example, I LOVED Toy Story 3 but...why did it even need to be?
yea that's my point- I think there's not a big enough difference to pay the extra. And it's just another way of them milking money out of people.
