more scrap for your buck

While organizing I came across some of my old scrapbooking stuff (I used to sell Stampin' Up) and although this house doesn't have the room to scrapbook much I sure miss it!  This project was a challenge I made myself- to see how many projects I could get out of one $12 Simply Scrappin kit (from Stampin Up) It was so much fun!

My $12 kit ended up making 42 projects!!! Talk about a lot for the price! I'm not sure if they still sell the kits- well or if they are the same as when I sold them, but it used to include a few pages of paper and matching stickers.  So using ONLY what came in the kit (well, aside from my cutter and glue) this is what I made:
10- regular sized cards
7- half sized cards
3- bag toppers
8- mini cards
14- 6x6 scrapbook pages

As you can see from the pictures, most of the cards could be turned to open on the side or on the bottom.
This was a lot of fun and I plan to do it again soon!  It's a good reminder to think of creative ways to use things that would normally be trash/scraps
