Using ribbon is a VERY easy way to turn a simple item into a designer one.
For example, a simple solid colored towel can be designer by sewing ribbon on the flat part of the towel (a few inches up from the end) This can save you lots of money, but still give you that matching look. You can sew the ribbon on different sizes of towels. Your guests will think you've spent a fortune and only you'll know the secret!

Here is a picture of a solid red sheet I cut into 1/4ths and sewed the edges, then sewed ribbon on the top and bottom to make some curtains that looked just like the ones Disney sold years ago.
