Drop Dead Diva

Last night we watched the first 3 episodes of these TV series.  It was pretty cute. Basically it starts with an aspiring model who gets herself killed in a car accident (I say she got herself killed because she was driving and obviously distracted with being on the phone and putting on make-up while driving)
When she goes to heaven she presses a return button out of spite, and then gets sent back to earth, but put in the body of an overweight, frumpy attorney.  A guy comes down to keep an eye on her as her "guardian angel" and to guide her a little.  Apparently she has all her memories etc, but the brain of this attorney- who as luck would have it is VERY smart.

What I found intriguing is that- she struggles as you would imagine with being in a larger and less attractive body than she had before.  She is treated differently by other people, and she knows how she would have treated herself in her other body.  So she has this frustration of being in a body she hates.  I think most women can relate to this in one way or another.  Most women are hard on themselves and don't like their body for one reason or another.  The "perfect" body/looks/ etc that the media tells us we should be is an illusion that is usually adjusted through technology and doesn't really exist anyway.

Here's a youtube video to show this- I love it and think that every woman should see this!  Only when we learn to accept ourselves for who we are and love our own uniqueness and beauty will we not allow media to influence our self love and confidence.
