These are super fast to make- only take 30 minutes and they taste a lot like Pizza Factory's bread sticks. I think the secret is the seasoning. I use the seasoning when I make homemade pizza too and it makes the pizza taste great! This is also another good recipe you can make from food storage items.
Seasoning (I usually double this recipe and keep it in a old Parmesan cheese bottle):
1/2 c. Parmesan cheese
2 t. salt
2 T. garlic powder
2 t. oregano
2 t. basil
2 t. marjoram
2 t. parsley
Mix together. Does not have to be refrigerated, but you can for a longer shelf life.
Bread sticks:
1 1/2 c. warm water
1 T. yeast
2 T sugar
Mix and let set to dissolve for 5 mins then add:
3 1/2 c. flour
1 t. salt
Mix till smooth and not sticky. Let rise for 10 minutes. Roll out flat, cut strips then roll each strip in to a long rope, fold rope in half and twist. Place on a cookie sheet. Spread melted butter on top of each bread stick, then sprinkle seasoning on top. Let rise for 15 minutes.
Bake at 400 for 7-10 minutes. Butter and season again if needed.
