Cake Decorating

This was a cake I made for my nephews wedding (not the main cake, they wanted extras to serve)  It's been years since I've decorated cakes so it's not the prettiest I've ever done, but it tasted AMAZING!  They wanted a lime flavored cake and since I didn't have lime juice I added
lime jello to the cake mix and it worked like a charm!  In fact, it worked so well the next week I experimented with another batch and made watermelon cupcakes! (they actually tasted pretty good)  I wish I had taken a picture of the inside of the cake, but after serving it to people at the event it didn't look pretty enough to want to show.

I'm pretty excited to experiment some more with cupcakes this Summer.  With jello & cake mix there's all sorts of possibilities!  Some of the ones I was thinking are: Peach, berry blue, grape, chocolate-strawberry, and strawberry banana.
I'll post more experiments as they're made.
