New Year, New Goals

With the start of the new year it's time to reevaluate life, priorities and all that they encompass and choose what stays, what goes, what needs to be added, and what needs to be tweaked.  I'm a believer that those who set goals or resolutions so drastically different from their current reality set themselves up to fail.  The key is to take baby steps!  So if you do want a drastic change, then set mini-goals along the way and don't expect the change to happen over night.  Here's my list of the things I plan to do and work on this year:
Financially-
We are planning on buying a house in the next couple of months.  This will drastically reduce our monthly expenses since it costs more to rent then our mortgage will be.  We intend to use the difference in money to pay off debt, make some purchases that have been on our wish list for some time, and of course do any projects on our new house.
We're also looking for better employment for my husband.  Hopefully something with more income, or at least less expenses.  Our goal is by combining both the increased income and decreased expenses we will be in a much better financial position by the end of the year.  (and maybe even able to have a savings!)  I'm also working on getting all my books onto Amazon.com and with some luck and positive thinking maybe I'll even be able to do some more public speaking!

Socially-
I've made it more of a priority to be involved in the community more.  Doing service, networking, and just meeting and making new friends.  Also to get to know our neighbors better.

Physically-
With my new Zumba kit I plan to get more physically active.  The plan is to alternate between the elliptical, Zumba, and family activities (sports etc).  Also, although we do eat pretty healthy and make most of our food from scratch, I do want to have more fruits & veggies in the house and personally I REALLY need to focus on eating breakfast every day!

Spiritually-
We are hoping that with a new house and new job for my husband that he will once again be able to attend church with the kids and I.  I would also like to incorporate meditation time again like I used to years ago.

Emotionally-
Time to polish up some of my Rapid Eye Technology skills!!  Releasing triggers, tapping out issues, and healing any negative emotions.

Mentally-
Once we move and I feel like I have a handle on things we've talked about me starting up online classes again.  We shall see..... but in the mean time I have been making it a goal to read more. (I like the history and self help type of stuff)

Family-
We're getting better at doing family home evenings, reading our scriptures, and saying family prayer- but it's still something we have room for improvement.  Spending more time with the kids, doing family outings, and with a new job for my husband would also come days off and vacation time!! So maybe a family vacation this year!!

Household-
I'm going to map out a cleaning/organizing routine like I had years ago and that should help keep the house clean and organized daily.

Food Storage-
Depending on the house we buy- we will evaluate our needs and space for food storage then.  As of right now we are still focusing on guns, ammo, and water.

That's a lot of goals!! But some of them are ones we've been working on and improving upon already so it's just a matter of maintaining them.  And I'm a multitasker!!
