My 8 year old son has introduced our family to the Teen Beach Movies and I have to admit we're pretty big fans! If you haven't seen it yet I highly recommend it- especially if you have kids. It's a modern but modest/moral musical about two teens that meet on a beach then somehow end up in a 1960's movie of West Side Story (at least a version of it). While they try to figure out how to get out of the movie they make friends and even change the story a little. In this post I'll share some of our favorite songs.
When they find themselves in the 1960's movie things are a lot different to say the least. The culture of the time is much different- how boys & girls interact is different and these two teens have to adjust to what life was like in the 60's. This song tells a lot of the differences on how boys and girls interacted- it's my 3 year old's favorite song, she wants to play it multiple times a day! Luckily it's a pretty cute song (all of the songs are)
This song is pretty funny- it happens once they're in the movie and realize they're becoming a part of it- which includes random singing and dancing! This is my hubby's favorite song-
Ok one more share- this song is when they are trying to convince the two main actors in the movie that they are meant to be together.
I'm buying the soundtrack on Amazon! Totally worth the $5!
There's also a Teen Beach Movie 2 that was recently released on DVD, but I'll do a separate post on that one.
