It has always been my dream to have a motor home to take family trips in.... well convincing my hubby that it's a priority is another story... Recently when I found a travel trailer at a incredibly reasonable price- and I had recently made a little extra money that would cover the cost of it, he ran out of excuses. So, yes, I am settling a little.....(ok a lot) but hopefully once it's had it's makeover and we get to use it he will see how much fun they can be and we can upgrade ;)
The motor home pictured above is my dream motor home..... so try not to laugh when you see what I settled for. But hopefully this is only temporary!
Here's some before pictures.... actually it's not completely before- sadly this is after we had cleaned it out. The woman we purchased it from was living in it, and the living standards were well........ not what I'd want to live or even visit in. So this is post-clearing out stuff, but pre-deep cleaning.
I'm a little worried that I may have bitten off more than I can chew here, considering the hubby doesn't want to help at all..... but luckily it's mostly cosmetic things that need to be done. (and cleaning which I'm dreading the most)
I have to keep reminding myself how awesome it will be when it's done! Focus, JoDee, Focus!
Luckily I have kids to help with the process. yay!
I'll post pictures along the way to share the makeover process- so stay tuned! Oh, and if you have any advice, suggestions, or want to volunteer to help we're totally open to the idea!
OH MY! you do have a lot of work ahead of you! But it will be worth it, we love our trailer! :)
ReplyDeleteI think it's adorable! With all the RV places around, you could almost make your own trailer these days! I can see lots of possibilities for this cute little travel trailer. There are a ton of websites that you can glean from, with tons of fun ideas . . . can't wait to see the finished product!
