Trampoline Noodle Mat

With the replacement of our trampoline mat my husband and daughter found they had to cut off the existing spring cover mat thing. (ugh! that's what happens when I'm not there)  So our nice spring mat went into the trash and needless to say we needed something to cover the bare springs now.  Insert this idea I had pinned years ago on Pinterest just because I thought it looked cute and was pretty practical.  Using pool noodles you can make you own spring covers!
It literally took less than 30 minutes to cut the pool noodles to size and put them over the springs.  (I even enlisted my kids to help- and they had fun doing it)

Our trampoline is a 15 foot circle with 96 springs, so figuring 6" per spring I bought 13 pool noodles at the dollar store= $13 investment.

I ended up cutting them closer to 8" because I liked the way they looked better over the springs.  And we still ended up with 1 extra pool noodle that we didn't need, but better a extra one than one short right?

After cutting them into 8" sections, all you do is cut one slit to the middle of each section (so you can open it up to slide around the spring.

I used a bread knife to cut the pool noodles- it was quick and easy.
