Turtle Brownies

Normally we are not big fans of Nuts at our house (insert your own joke here).  But the other day I wanted to go a little crazy and was craving some pecans.  So we made some turtle brownies!  Ok, I thought my basic brownie recipe was awesome, then along came the Samoa brownie experiment, then crack brownie experiment, and now this turtle brownie one.  At the end of the day they're all brownies so you can never go wrong!
You want to make the best brownie recipe-

2 cubes butter- melted
2/3 cup cocoa powder
2 cups sugar
1 cup flour
1/2 t. salt
1/2 t. baking powder
2 t. vanilla
4 eggs

Once this is all mixed together well, pour 2/3 of it into a Pam sprayed baking pan.
Now for the turtle part-

Sprinkle chocolate chips on top, then pecans, then drizzle caramel sauce over the pecans.

Pour the last 1/3 of the batter over the top and bake at 350 for 20 minutes.

Another way of making them which I plan to try soon is to use caramel baking bits (found by the chocolate chips in the store) instead of caramel sauce.

Enjoy!
