It can't get any more easy, simple, cheap, or adorable then these paper heart garlands! Another idea we made for my nieces wedding. It took a little math work to figure out how many of each size we needed and how much paper of each color we'd need, but after that was done it was just a matter of cutting the paper and stapling them together!
We made ours 1 inch wide. The 3 lengths are 7", 9", and 11"
The strip for the middle (to attach to ribbon and make it a garland) were the same size as the 7" ones.
Once you have the paper cut, take one of each size and layer them with the shortest on top. Then while holding the bottom of the papers take the top of each one and fold it over to the bottom.
Once all papers are together staple them to hold them in place. We found that our stapler wouldn't go through more then 6 sheets of the cardstock paper so we ended up using a hot glue gun to glue the two ends and the middle strip together.
Then using a hole punch put a hole at the top of each strip in the middle for the ribbon to thread through.
This would be super cute for Valentine's day!!
