My 1,000th Post!! And a gift for you!

Yay!! It's 1,000th post day! (and I have a gift for you!) I noticed the other week when I was writing up blog posts- 1,000 was coming up.  It's been a wonderful 6 years of blogging!  When I first started this blog it was simply for fun and to have a place to send people that kept asking me things like "can I have your recipe?" "how do you do that?" "what do you think about....?" And most importantly "how do you do everything you do?" - hopefully throughout the years of reading my blog you've learned that no one can do everything all the time! But you can do anything you put your mind to!


It was obvious how life happens and during 2 pregnancies where for 10 months or so I did little to no blogging while sick in bed.  Mostly because this blog is about my life and the things I do- being sick in bed isn't exciting and certainly not something readers would want to read day after day.  Especially when the highlights of what I got "done" that day was watch TV and try not to throw up.

But through it all you've stuck with me!  And for that I'm grateful!  Thank you for being a part of my life and helping me think/feel like someone actually cares what a stay at home mom does for fun.

There have been times I've wondered if having a blog was worth it, if anyone even read my posts or cared.  I wondered if anyone found anything I shared helpful in the slightest, or if it had become just another grain of sand in the beach on online bloggers.  And on those occasions, never fail, one of you would send me a email, or post a comment about how much you loved a post, a recipe, or wanted to learn more about something.  It was those emails and comments that validated my time and effort :)  You'll never know how much those little tidbits of gratitude, compliments, or excitement lifted my spirits and gave me the motivation to continue!

Although I consider myself small potatoes in the world of blogging, it's given me the opportunity to review some amazing products and even make a little money here and there.  I know for my monthly stats it should be making more money, but that wasn't what I started the blog to do and I just don't have the time to chase after advertisers and do other things that are needed to make a higher and more steady income.  So this gives me the opportunity to bring you the best and be selective with the products and advertisers shared!
