I've been working on making a door hanger/decoration for each holiday as they come lately and here is my Easter one! It really wasn't that hard- who knows why it took me so long to do stuff like this, but now that they're getting made it's pretty satisfying and was so much easier than I expected. A friend's husband cut out the egg shape from some old wood they had lying around. And we got to paint!
First I painted it white.
Then I had cut out some chevron vinyl with my silhouette (LOVE this machine)
Once I placed the vinyl where I wanted it on the wood I painted the colors between the vinyl.
After it was dry I peeled off the vinyl.
I painted the "M", tied a little ribbon onto it, then used some super short nails, nailed it to the wood egg.
Drilling a hole in the top to string the ribbon through to hang it by and Tada!!
I'm pretty happy with how it turned out!
