Homemade Hot Fudge Sauce

Growing up in a rural area where the nearest store was 30 minutes away, we did have the option to just run to the store or fast food place to get whatever we were missing or craving.  So it was a good thing my mom is an amazing cook!  She would make her own hot fudge for those late night banana split cravings! (also great on rainy days)

Here's the recipe- feel free to alter!

2 T butter
1 c. marshmallows
1/2 c. chocolate chips (semi-sweet for a bitter sweet fudge sauce, milk chocolate for a more sweet one.  you can also use a Hershey bar or any other chocolate for that matter.)
1/2 c. milk (or if you have cream on hand it will be more rich)

Melt the butter, marshmallows and chocolate then slowly add the milk.
If worse comes to worse and you don't have any chocolate chips you can use cocoa powder and a little sugar.  If you don't have cocoa powder, lets face it someone could get hurt ;) (a MAJOR staple at my house!)
