Stuffed Steak

I had got a good deal on a package of steaks from Costco and when I opened them realized they were all very large, but also very thin.  (sadly I didn't write down the type of steak, but I have had butcher's cut a steak thin in the past so any kind will work)  Wanting to do something different I experimented with stuffing the steaks with different things.  Here's what we did & the results:
All of these steaks were cooked on a cookie sheet together at 350 degrees for about 40 minutes.

Steak 1:  I spread sour cream on it, then sprinkled some Ranch powder (I buy the large tubs of it for making homemade ranch dressing & dips etc) over the sour cream, then rolled the steak up and secured it with toothpicks.
Results: This one was my daughter's favorite.  It was really good- definitely in the top 3 for both my husband and I.

Steak 2: I put fresh spinach on the steak then sprinkled some grated Parmesan cheese on top, sprinkled a little Italian seasoning on and rolled the steak up, securing it with toothpicks.
Results: This one was my husband's favorite, although he's not a fan of cooked spinach so I was surprised.  To me, this one was good- something you would expect from a fine dining restaurant.  Another one in the top 3.

Steak 3: Mixing together hash browns and shredded zucchini, then spreading it on top of the steak and sprinkling some mozzarella cheese on top, roll the steak up and secure it with toothpicks.

For some reason the picture I took of this one didn't save in my camera :( On the pan rolled up this one is the top 2 steaks on the left.

Results: This was my personal favorite.  A great combination of steak and potatoes.  This was the other one in the top 3.

Steak 4: Spreading dry stuffing on the steak then topping with some Parmesan cheese.  Roll up and secure with toothpicks.
Results: this is the one that all my kids wanted to try.  It's not that it was bad, because lets face it, it's steak and seasoned bread can you really go wrong with that? But it just wasn't as good as the top 3.  My boys didn't seem to rave about it and I'm not sure if that's just because they're boys and food is food or what.

Steak 5: I had some sun dried tomatoes in the fridge, so I figured why not?  Spread sun dried tomatoes on the steak then top with some mozzarella cheese, roll up the steak and secure it with toothpicks.
Results: this one was definitely the most oily- probably because the tomatoes were stored in oil in the jar.  Although this was good- (steak and tomatoes and cheese right?) it wasn't anyone's favorite at all and in fact of all the 5 it was most of our least favorite.

All the steaks once they were cooked- (notice all the oil, it's from the tomato one)

Unfortunately I didn't get a picture of them cut up because my family was so eager to try them!
