Crock Pot Potatoes

This is the COOLEST way to do mashed potatoes!  It's so easy and tastes amazing!  A friend of mine, Jennifer made this for a potluck and I just had to try it.
All you do is wash your potatoes, and then place them whole into your crock pot.  Add 1-2 cups of water (You don't need enough to boil them, just enough to help them steam a bit)  I also added some chicken bouillon to the water.  Jennifer said she sometimes adds chicken broth.  Set the crock pot to cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 2-4 hours.
When the potatoes are soft just turn off the crock pot, add some sour cream, bacon, butter, green onions, any seasonings you like (think baked potato stuff) you really can't go wrong.  Then mash it all together using a potato masher.

For my first batch I added some sour cream, butter, and BLT seasoning I have from Homemade Gourmet- it's basically bacon bits, and seasonings.
If they are too runny- add some instant potatoes.  If they are too stiff add some milk!
Enjoy!
