Lysol Power & Free Review

I was mailed some Lysol Power & Free cleaners to try out and review for my blog.  These cleaners are bleach free- using instead the power of hydrogen peroxide to clean.  Which is great if you are worried about the affects bleach may have on your surfaces. Also if you want a cleaner that is more safe for older kids to use -
Unfortunately my experience was one of disappointment.  I'm wondering if the batch I got was no good due to heat exposure during mailing or something.  Because when I sprayed the cleaner it didn't really bubble up on the surface like I expected it to according to the description on the bottle.
The smell of the spray was pleasant- but as for the effectiveness of the cleaner itself I didn't see a large difference from using water or any other cleaner.  Which again could have been a bad batch or something maybe.
I wanted to try this out on my stove which tends to be my hardest area to clean.  The problem is it's a old gas stove so the pilot light is under the burners which makes the surface area between each pair of burners hot all the time, which means that food gets burned into the area and harder to clean/remove.
Here's the before picture:

And here's after one application picture:

As you can see- not much different.  I let the cleaner soak on the stove for a few minutes before scrubbing off, but the heat from the pilot light had evaporated most of it.  So I did another application, this time spraying LOTS of cleaner on.......
I promise they are not all the same picture.

While waiting for the spray to soak I did wash the rest of my oven and other small stains came off with ease.
I plan to use this cleaner in the bathrooms and hopefully it will work better on soap scum.

We used the cleaning wipes to clean the inside of my husband's car- but 4 wipes into cleaning the smell was so bad we stopped using them.  My husband didn't mind the smell, but it was not one I enjoyed at all and since we were cleaning the car for a road trip I was going on I didn't want that smell to fill up the car.  In the future they will be used for cleaning camping things or other items that will be in a well ventilated area.  As for the cleaning power- they worked fine and cleaned as I would expect them to.
