Have you ever had a sewing project that included a long tube, belt, or other reason you would need a long narrow piece of fabric sewn? Well here is a trick my mom taught me! It's so easy you'll be thinking "why didn't I think of that?!?!" And it's the quickest way you will ever find to sew things things!
When sewing your tube, sew closed one of the small ends. Even if you eventually need both ends open, you can always un-stitch it or cut it if you account for extra length. Take your scissors, a pen or any long and narrow sturdy object and place it at the short end you've sewn closed.

Now using your fingers, separate the two sides of fabric and pull them over your scissors so that your scissors are going between them.
Continue to push the fabric over your scissors allowing the fabric to bunch up until you reach the end of the tube and your scissors are poking out the end.
Hold on to the fabric at the tip of the scissors that's poking out, and remove your scissors.
Once your scissors are out of the fabric, just push back the gathered fabric while pulling the fabric where the tip of your scissors were.
Eventually the tube will be completely turned right side out!
At this point you can cut or un-stitch the end if you need to. For things such as belts on dresses you'll want one end to be finished nicely anyway so you'd be done at this point! Just iron it flat and sew it into the side seam of your dress.
