Stuffed Tomatoes


We had a whole flat of HUGE Tomatoes to find something to do with- since I didn't have enough time to can them I wanted to try making stuffed tomatoes.  I've never made them before, so the recipe and experience was an experiment.
For the filling:
brown 1# ground beef
1 onion- chopped
2 T. minced garlic
1 jar of spaghetti sauce
1 can of tomato sauce

Mix in 1 box worth of cooked cut spaghetti.

Next hallow out the tomatoes-

Fill each tomato with the mock spaghetti, then top with mozzarella cheese.

Bake at 350 for 20 minutes.

These were really good!  If you love tomatoes you'll enjoy these!  Addie gives it 2 messy thumbs up-
